Gone with the wind....Almost

My friends always joked about me being so petite and skinny, that one day I would be blown away by the wind like a battered umbrella...and it was a joke until yesterday....

It was no laughing matter after what happened yesterday. I realized that there IS a possibility of me being blown away by the atrocious wind with the velocity of a Category 3 hurricane...

"Would have been me"

The sky was dark and had a menacing look about it as dark heavy clouds moved swiftly like some invisible force is pushing them out of the way....almost like in the movie "Twister"
You know, the dark foreboding look about the skies is always a bad signs in disaster movies...

And then, the wind came....it bloody sneaked up on me and gave me a "BOO!'

When it struck me, catching me off guard, I was almost stumbling and tripping with my bags
almost flying off my shoulders, hair all swept up and constantly slapping at my own face as if it had not suffered enough from the brutal hands of the wind! I squealed in shock and instinctively held onto the barb-wire fence next to me as crazy thoughts ran through my mind!

"OMG!I'm really going to be swept away! It's really happening!"

"Is there a tornado coming??"

"Should I just go back to dorm??!"

But the chaotic moment ended as abruptly as it had begun and I took it as a chance to start running before another strong gust of wind sent me into a panic attack. Unfortunately, that gust of wind came too soon as I barely made it to 4 steps from where I was before. And I started squealing again while grabbing hold off my bags and coat and hair, desperately holding on to every pieces of me together as the angry wind relentlessly and mercilessly blew me into disarray!

Once I got into the premises, I was out of breath like someone who had just completed a 100m race in 10 seconds...Relieved that I made it to my prof's office with all pieces of me intact, I gave a big sigh. However, I had to endure that all over again as I stepped foot outside for classes. God, the wind was ice cold, biting into my already numbed skin!Even with 3 layers on, I felt like I was wearing a T-shirt on!

They said it would have been a blizzard if it was with snow....>^<>

Even Mary Poppins won't have survived with her umbrella!
